Every golfer has had the one bad hole in a round that is not representative of their ability. In the Rules of Handicapping, the maximum score a player can record for handicapping purposes on a given hole is Net Double Bogey.
If posting a score as hole-by-hole on GHIN.com or the GHIN Mobile App, the system will automatically correct scores that exceed Net Double Bogey.
In the example above, the player's Course Handicap was 8. The hole score of 7 on hole 4 was adjusted to 6, since the player did not receive a handicap stroke on the par 4. On hole 5, the #1 Stroke Index hole, the player did receive a stroke, so the hole score of 7 was not adjusted.
